SendGrid plugin not sending transactional emails

  • The Sendgrid plugin is not sending email to customers after they sign up and buy things on my site. I am using the sendgrid WP plugin (v 1.11.7). The transactional emails are triggered when a customer makes a purchase on the site. The email contains the receipt for the purchase.

    It seems to be a common problem from what I am reading. It was working before the upgrade. It’s funny because when I test the plugin on the settings page, that works. Same is true for when I create a new user (they receive the default WP email via sendgrid).

    What other info do you need from me to solve the issue?

    Hello.

    In order to reproduce and debug this issue we need some more information.

    1. Are you using custom code to send with wp_mail()?
    2. Is the plugin that allows customers to buy things sending the emails? If so, what plugin is it and what version?

    I’m just using the default woo commerce email receipts. It was working before.

    When I create a new admin user for example, that email gets sent via sendgrid.

    Also, I installed the WP Mail Log plugin to see if the emails were being sent. When a customer signs up, the email is shown as sent in the WP log but it does not show up in the Send Grid log.

    Ok I found a semi-solution for now. I deleted the Sendgrid plugin altogether and installed a better one: Postman SMTP (https://en-ca.www.ads-software.com/plugins/postman-smtp/)

    That one works via API with no issues.
