• Hello

I have correctly configured the new Sendinblue integration for Contact Form 7 and the contacts are correctly inserted in the selected list.

The problem is that there is no way to set the option to request the double opt-in, which is mandatory in many countries. Even if I select the double opt-in model in “Welcome email”, the contact is still included in the list without first confirming.

How can this feature be activated?

I was also looking for double-optin … the acceptance checkbox under “Privacy consideration” would be single optin (there is no confirmation E-Mail being sent).

This would be a possible work-around (but not very simple):

I have read all the information on the site carefully before asking, but there is no response to my request.
In that case we talk about single opt-in, by ticking the checkbox, but in some states, such as Germany, the need to set up a double opt-in is mandatory, so currently the management of CF7 is not compliant with the GDPR.

    Same problem here.

The privacy considerations are not enough to solve this problem.

We MUST send a confirmation mail, not only click a checkbox.

Will there be any developments related to the integration of the double opt-in for Sendinblue? In many countries this action is mandatory for the correct management of privacy consent.

I’m working on it. Maybe I’ll be able to introduce it in the next release.

Just want to say thank you @takayukister for working on it. ?? Without this implementation unfortunately the integration with sendinblue is useless in Germany.

    Hello and good day.

    Facing a similar issue here.

Double opt-in is needed to work however I am located in the US but regardless, the issue still is wanted.

I have been going back and forth with SendinBlue support on a way to create a Workflow that is supposed to perform the double opt-in in the following scenario:

    Subscription from CF7 Form
Subscriber added to Workflow which has a unconfirmed Contact list attached
Workflow triggers an confirmation email asking subscriber to click link to confirm

    This last step works.

Workflow is configured to confirm link click in email sent.

However, this last step in the workflow is the issue.

Once the subscriber clicks the link, they are supposed to be added to a double optin list that I have created. However, this is not occuring. They are not sent to the next step in the work flow.

The step is supposed to confirm they have clicked the link to confirm and sends them to a thank you page I have created while adding them to this central double opt-in contact list.

    But it does not.

I am communicating this to sendinblue at this very moment.

Because occording them them, this is their recommended way of double opt-in verfication.

Is there any update on CF7 integration workaround?

FYI: Just wanted to update my post.

I did get this to work after reviewing the documentation.

I omitted step 4 from the how to documentation.

    The double opt-in is working.

It’s a bit of a convoluted process to setup, however, it does work.
