Sending cookie consent information to Google Tag Manager

Hi,
I tried to send the cookie consent information from the GDPR Cookie Consent Plugin to my Google Tag Manager according to this guideline:
https://www.webtoffee.com/how-to-attain-gdpr-compliance-by-using-google-tag-manager/#triggerI created the trigger (in preview mode) and put the script into the header but the trigger won’t fire.
Could it be, because I set it up with the new Google Analytics 4?
