Sending Multiple Emails

What version are you using? 6.00.25 resolves the duplicate submission issues. Please upgrade.

I am using the most updated version (6.00.25). and I am still receiving duplicate emails.

Try changing themes to see if it is a theme issue. This has happened in the past, but the fix should have resolved this. But there are always exceptions. ??

I tried this using the twentyeleven default wordpress theme, and I am still getting multiple emails.

Is there something I can type into the code directly to prevent this?

Do you have multiple shortcodes on the same page? There should only every be one shortcode on a page and nothing should be on the page where the {EVRREGIS} code is placed.

I’m actually not using shortcodes at all at the moment. I’m just using the {EVRREGIS} page.

So is there no other suggestion on how to get rid of this? I have to launch the registration for our league this Monday, and I’m still sending out multiple emails ??

There is something conflicting on your site. Temporarily disable all other plugins and check the plugin.

This is only an issue when there is a conflict where another theme or plugin affects the content replace function of the plugin. The only way to resolve is to isolate and identify the conflicting plugin then we can determine what is causing the issue. SEO plugins often affect this. Thanks for the tip on the SEO plugin. I’m using WordPress SEO and turning that off indeed fixed the duplicate problem (on both sending emails, and payments)

Do you know of an SEO plugin that DOES work with your plugin? I kind of need to keep my SEO turned on.

Your SEO program is somehow causing the page to submit twice. The plugin uses a content replace function that basically replaces the shortcode with the form, when the form is submitted, it refreshes the page and replaces the form with the form processing script, then when confirmed refreshes and replaces it with another form processing script this time sending the emails. For some reason it is sending that page twice, meaning it is refreshed after sending. Not sure why your SEO plugin would do that, but I will investigate that plugin and try and find the conflict.

I’ve run into this same problem. I’d rather not disable the SEO plugin. Any ideas on how to work around? A hack in the PHP code somewhere?

Agreed, I’ve had to turn the SEO plugin back on as it’s more important, and getting the duplicate stuff again.

I’m testing out Event Espresso and might end up switching to this plugin instead. Seems to be updated more often, and more widely supported.

Often it is just a setting in your SEO plugin that needs to be set correctly, not the entire plugin. Once you have isolated the conflicting plugin, finding the exact cause will be easier.

There’s a number of other issues I’m having with the plugin in general. Biggest one being you can register but not pay. This is a HUGE issue with my dodgeball league as people are taking up spots but haven’t paid. I spend to much time “monitoring” and deleting people, it’s not worth it for me to keep the plug-in anymore. It’s been good for now, but just doesn’t suit my needs anymore.

Understood. Because the plugin supports multiple payment methods – online, check and cash, the registration and payment processes are treated as two different functions. The program was written to handle online registrations. Online payments are an add on (free add on) to the product. I am sorry the product does not meet all of your needs. Thank you for using it and consider us again in the future when your needs are not so strict.
