    Hi all,

I installed this plugin and set up the new registration “New User Registration – For User” template.

I already have an existing user from BuddyPress membership added manually from the previous website. How can I send (trigger send) them their login credentials using this plugin?

I don’t want them the signup. They are very few, 20 in number every year. The admin creates the users, and this is a new website; members will have to have access to their profile and post some activities.

    Thank you.

    Hi @nuragrafix,
    Thanks for your message.

To clarify: you register the users (around 20 per year) and you’d like BNFW to send them their credentials when you register them, is that correct?

    Yes, that’s correct.

    Hi @nuragrafix,
    Thanks for confirming.

Yes, BNFW can do that. Providing that you’re signing them up, when you sign up each one, BNFW will send the ‘New User Registration – For User’ notification to them.
It won’t be able to send notifications to people who have already registered however. For that, you’d need to ask them to reset their password, which you can then customise usnig the ‘User Lost Password – For User’ notification.

Let me know if this helps.

Eureka! The logic solved the problem I am working on.

    May I suggest a feature?
You might consider giving developers/administrators an option to send the Welcome/Account Confirmation emails to users in scenarios where the website changed and required existing users to know their new login credentials or due to security threats etc…

    Thank you.

    Hi @nuragrafix,
In that situation I would recommend sending them a password reset email from WP Admin > Users and then customising the ‘User Lost Password – For User’ notification to explain why these notifications are being sent out.
You can create multiple notifications of the same type so you could deactivate your normal version of this notificaiton, create a new one, as per my suggestion above, send your password resets off, then deactivate that notification and re-enable the previous one.

Hope that makes sense and helps.

    Hi Voltronic,

It’s all clear. That’s the trick I use, and it’s sufficient enough.

    Regards.
