Sending rss feeds to subscriber via email
-
I have this website which basically collects rss feeds from other sites and displays them. https://zibhdi.com
I have a subscription form set up using WP Responder and each week I select the BEST feeds and send out a email blast to those who sign up.
I’m looking for a way to automate the process so I don’t have to select these feeds manually, copy/paste them and then send them out every week. WP Responder has the functionality to send posts or pages on a set schedule the same way Aweber can. So what I’ve tried is to use the RSS JUST BETTER plugin which allows me to preselect a group of the best feeds and display them in a page or post using a shortcode.
Problem is when I try to send a page of rss content to a email address I get the shortcode which looks like this:[RSSjb feed=”rss url here” num=”3″ list=”UL” target=”_blank” excerpt=”true” charex=”95″ pubdate=”true” pubtime=”true”] , not the desired rss titles, excerpts and links. Apparently the code is not being rendered server side?
Is there a work around I can use or another avenue I may be missing? Or am I way off base with this project? It seems doable. Thanks in advance for your help.
