• Hi,

there is a bug in the plugin: if you check the box “Subscribe in registration form” in the “Basics” section, and Enable sign-up confirmation in the “Sign-up confirmation” section too, the MailPoet will send the subscription request email twice which shouldn’t happen.

    Thank you

  • Hello,

If a user registers for a new account with the settings you mentioned enabled, the site will send two different emails. The ‘New Account Information’ email and the ‘Subscription Confirmation’ email.

We tested this to be sure, but we didn’t see any duplicate emails sent. This may be affected if you’re using a User Registration plugin such as Profile Builder.

    Thanks,

    Hello,

Thank you for finding time to reply… after 3 weeks (that’s very professional of you).

I do not use any other plugins. I literally have only 3 plugins on my website – hcaptcha, mp3player and mailpoet. Please, could you make it so that when a user is signing up, AND chooses to subscribe for news they would not get two emails, but only one confirming both actions because right now your plugin is sending two emails at once and that feels really spammish. At lease, give us an option not to send the confirmation of subscription email, but simply allow to confirm the subscription without sending the email with the notification about it.

    Thank you
