    Hi Silvershine,

The only two reasons you would be getting a confirmation email is that you submit a handful of form submissions which caused a delay in the message being received.

MailChimp minimizes the number of requests that hit the API. After a certain number of requests happen in a given time, they throttle requests so that they are delayed.

If you haven’t submit the form yourself, the other option is that someone else using the form submit the form using your email address. You won’t be added to the mailing list until you confirm addition.

If you are already subscribed to the list, and re-submit your email address you’ll receive an error back that your email had previously subscribed. You would then have the option to generate an ‘Update’ email, which would allow you to update things such as your email, name or any of the other fields.

    Thanks,
    Evan
