Sending via GMAIL to regular pop3 address causes loss of blog body

So my dilemma is this. I can send email to my blog fine from any basic MUA (Thunderbird) using a regular isp given mail account. The text of the blog comes through okay when I send via email this way. However, when I attempt to send a similar message using gmail, the text body always disappears.

This is rather annoying as I use gmail as my main way to blog because I don’t want to spend the time using the editor on wordpress.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
