Sent from email address / email blocking

  • We’ve been having some ISP blocking issues. No blacklist issues.
    When submitting a form the following shows up in the footer of the message:

    Sent from (ip address): 63.225.133.135 (mail.jeffclark.net)
    Date/Time: May 1, 2013 5:41 pm
    Coming from (referer): https://www.artbymirjor.com/contact/
    Using (user agent): Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; MSIE 9.0; Windows NT 6.1;
    WOW64; Trident/5.0)

    The ip address is the static ip that I’m visiting the site from. I have no idea who (mail.jeffclark.net) is. The referer is the website with the form.

    Is there anything untoward here? We’re trying to identify if there are settings that need to be changed. This is happening with several sites, same plugin.

  • The sent from domain is generated by a gethostbyaddr() command, your web server returns the result. I have never seen errors reported there. I do not know what is causing that.
