Would adding the blog name to your meta data of each of your posts help you SEO?

It’s just something that’s dawned on me but have no idea if it would help?

    Any SEO gurus?

Yeah, it would help a little but only if you were trying to get your site to rank for the keyword phrase ‘Blog name’ and the content of the posts were related to that phrase.

However, bear in mind that if a post isn’t related to that keyword phrase then you’ll just be diluting the meta data with unrelated info which means it could be marked down by the search engines.

You could achieve the same result with putting your blog name in your title. “Post Name | Blog Name ” or “Blog Name | Post Name” and IIRC that doesn’t potentially spike unrelated results.
