SEO Analysis only supports English content. Therefore, some analysis items may report incorrectly and should be ignored.

I am just trying out SmartCrawl on a german website, what does the SEO Analysis do?

Is it possible support other languages in the future for SEO Analysis and Readability?

    HI @bettyst ,

The SEO Analysis should work in languages other than English but it won’t be accurate. The feature reads the page content on how it’s displayed in the frontend and provides SEO recommendations based on the content added. The recommendations provided by the SEO Analysis aren’t a requirement and more of tool to analyze your content.

On the other hand, the Readability Analysis at the moment only supports the English language. We do have plans to support multiple languages down the plugin’s roadmap, however, at the moment there isn’t any exact ETA that we have regarding this.

    Kind Regards,
    Nithin

Hey thanks for the quick answer, but why do you have this warning then in the plugin?

Ah sorry i just read your answer again:

    “but it won’t be accurate.”

So I still can use it, but are there any pitfalls?

If yes, do you also plan to make the SEO accurate for non-english sites? ??

Cool, that you have the Readability for non-english already on your roadmap – I really like the UX of this plugin and also use Smushit and Hummingbird! Keep up the good work!

    Hi @bettyst

I hope you are doing well.

I tested the SEO Analysis on a different language and must say, I couldn’t find any issue on the reported situations that my page should improve.

The problem in some languages is the characters which sometimes may not be accurate, for example, if you use the keyword on an Alt image and the plugin reports it, double-check if the Theme or plugin is printing the alt on the front end if so, this can be ignored.

I sent this thread to the plugin team for further discussion about making it more accurate for non-English sites.

    Hello @bettyst

Just wanted to update you that a new improvement task has been created for our SmartCrawl developers, in order to provide multi-language support for SEO Analysis in a future release. I really cannot provide any estimated time of that release or the exact release number, hope you understand! ??

    Thank you,
    Dimitris
