    Thanks for the pictures of the in-page settings you sent me for where the Description fails to do what you put in.

    Could you please go to the SEO settings page, and then see if there’s anything filled in in the Home Page Settings Metabox?

    Under the option Custom Home Page Description, the content shouldn’t reflect what you’ve filled in for the in-page settings. The option there has precedence over the in-page settings. If left empty, it should take the in-page settings, if any.
