I would like to implement Force Refresh on each of our sites, but I cannot yet tell if there will be any long-term SEO effects by using the system? Will the method you use to force a refresh of the page somehow affect the URL or change the URL in any way that would prevent searchers from finding the page in Google Search?

    Hey @trumbaugh,

Admittedly, I’m not an SEO expert so I’m not sure I’d be able to answer authoritatively. However, since the effects of this plugin are simply refreshing the browser for users who are currently connected (opposed to changing around the DOM, changing URLS, or anything like that) I don’t think it would have any effect on crawability/SEO. This plugin runs exclusively client-side (the browser, not the server) so I don’t believe it’d have an impact in the same way that a user refreshing the page using the browser wouldn’t have an effect on crawability/SEO.
