SEO Framework and Qtranslate X-description

    Hi.
    I am now using Qtranslate X for an effort to make a multilanguage site.
    However, when I try to translate the page title and description and custom title and description in the SEO settings it does not translate. It becomes the same in every language: in my case Swedish. Or if I then write the text in English, it becomes English even in my Swedsih pages/posts. The article texts are no problem, it is the SEO parts.
    So I guess this has to do with SEO Framework/QTranslate X not 100% working? Any idea on how I can solve this.

    Otherwise-great plugin!

    Note that the character counters don’t compensate for this.

    The issue with translation plugins is that there are (too) many, and they don’t have a standard way of doing their job. Some even cause ID collisions, which is fatal for third party implementation. Nevertheless, conveying a proper compatibility layer is planned; but, it will take some time.

    Hi Sybre, and thank you.
    Well, my mistake then. I thought those fields were in SEO Framework, but it seems to be standard WP fields.
    If I use the tip in the link the SEO Framework shows “red”, but I guess I’lll have to live with that then.

    If anyone here has suggestions on IF I am to use a translator plugin or not (Only pages log “gigs” are important, the posts can be single-language I guess) feel free to give me a tip as a DM or so on Twitter or here. Don’t want to fill Sybres support forum with issues not clearly related to this plugin.

    Hi Tomas,

    The important thing to remember with translating pages is to use hreflang tags.
    This can be quite an issue if you don’t, but translator plugins take care of this very well and automatically.

    So yes, for now you should use translator plugins ??

    Alternatively, you could set up more sites through e.g. WordPress networks. I would do it this way, but please note that this is very advanced, time consuming, and to top it off: most hosting parties don’t support this, because you require a dedicated IP.
