    Dear all,

I have SEO Framework installed and using your plugin under compatibility mode. When I try to edit my schema markup “Article” I try to get the SEO framework meta description that is “shorter” and better for markup purposes. However I cannot find how to map this field under custom fields. Any solution to this?

Furthermore I’d like to add keywords. How can I do this?

    Thank you

    Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

When you install our plugin, SEO Framework compatibility is enabled by default. You can verify this in the Compatibility section of the Schema settings, where the SEO Framework option will be enabled.

You don’t need to take any additional steps, simply set up the Article schema, and it will automatically fetch the meta description from your post. Regarding Tags, you can set them up while editing a post. On the right sidebar, you can add tags, which will automatically be fetched by any schema validation tool.

Could you please confirm if you’re facing any issues with this?

Uh thank you! I was trying to do manual mapping as some info like images where not available as default in the schema. But If i don’t map the description it is autimatically fetched. Thank you.

As for the tag, I was meaning keywords. In the schema there is the keyword property. Should I add it manually every time or it is better to ignore it?

Last question: I cannot find a whey to create a ArticleList schema only for categories and “all posts” page. If I filter by category it is added also to all articles, and anyway it is not possible to fetch correctly information by H2 titles. Is there a way to achieve this or it better to leave those aggregator pages without a schema?

Thank you a lot for your time

Since the plugin automatically fetches tags from posts, manual mapping is not necessary
For the Article schema, an option is available in the Schema Settings.

If you have a group of articles or multiple articles under a category, you can enable this option as shown in the screenshot.

    1. Go to Schema Settings,
    2. check the Archive option and enable it.
    3. Then select ItemList according to your preference.

If you have a single article or post, you can configure it from the Schema Type settings.

When adding a schema, select Article, click on ItemList, and complete the schema setup. Once done, you will see ItemList elements such as H1, H2, etc., allowing you to customize them accordingly.
