On my WordPress I have categories such as “city-events”.
This category gets updated once a week with a new article .
My question is, what would be the most SEO friendly structure for this.

I can think of few options:

    1. mywebsite/city-events/november-3-2013
    2. mywebsite/city-events/week-43
    3. mywebsite/city-events/city-events-november-3-2013
    4. mywebsite/city-events-november-3

Any ideas on what URL structure should I follow?

The URL structure is really up to how you want it to be. As a personal thing I’d set it as /city-events/2013-11-03 but that’s mainly from me coming from a techy side of things where that’s how dates are stored. As far as any SEO benefit from any of these structures go, I doubt that you’d get much difference, so stick with what you think is the most useful for you and your visitors.

    Actually I prefer: mywebsite/city-events/november-3-2013

Usually people type “rock concert november 3”, rather than “rock concert 11 3″…

Great. If that works for you, then use that structure. ??
