I did a test to see if the seo meta data was being indexed and it was not. I use Yoast SEO and would like my descriptions and keywords to also be indexed with the search but it appears they are not.

    How can I fix this.

Also, is it possible to index the contents of a PDF or Excel file? Perhaps with the premium?

Meta descriptions and keywords are stored in custom fields. Make Relevanssi index custom fields _yoast_wpseo_metadesc and _yoast_wpseo_metakeywords and you’re set.

Relevanssi, Premium or not, can’t index the content of attachments, only titles and descriptions.

    Thanks for the fast reply.

I do not see these custom fields listed even thoough I do have the Yoast SEO Installed

As for the attachments. Is it possible to only search the titles of some of the files like PDF and DOC and to ignore jpgs? Also does it search the file name or the title of the post in the media Library.

    Thank You Again!

Those are taxonomies, not custom fields. Find the setting “Custom fields to index”, and write the names of the custom fields in that input field.

Here’s how you index all attachments except images: https://gist.github.com/msaari/0f5910e58290a74477e0e023cf392a53

Relevanssi looks for the title of the post. You can make it search for the filename, too, if you want to.
