Did you try adding the %%excerpt%% template variable to the bbPress post types meta description field from the Yoast SEO → Titles & Metas → Post Types (tab)? If not, we suggest you please try the relevant template variable to check whether this resolves the issue.

when the %%excerpt%% in not added, I see this notice in page source:
<!– Admin only notice: this page doesn’t show a meta description because it doesn’t have one, either write it for this page specifically or go into the SEO -> Titles menu and set up a template. –>

I did what you told me and when I added the %%excerpt% , this was shown in page source:
<meta name=”description” content=”Home › Forums › Book Discussion › test topic This topic contains 0 replies, has 1 voice, and was last updated by  Admin right now”/>
    you can check it here:

the excerpt shows some irrelevant descriptions.

this addon fixes this issue but I think it will be better if yoast support team fixes it.

    Hi,

We understand that Yoast and bbPress may not be fully integrated. We have an open-issue report here: https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/7332 which seeks to do that. We suggest commenting on the issue so you may be kept aware of updates. You may need to create an account in order to do that.
