    Hello there,

I am not sure what is going on as nothing has changed on my site for some time. However, when testing my site at

    https://socialsharepreview.com/ or
    https://metatags.io

or any place for that matter. The image never shows up. It used to but I check it from time to time and once again it is not showing up. I assure you nothing on my site has changed. No plugins added, no configuration changes to the SEO settings or anything.

I was hoping someone might take a look and let me know what the problem might be.

Thanks for any information and help

now all of a sudden, its working again. Believe me it won’t last. It will just stop working again. It’s like each time I go into the settings in SEO and click save settings without making any changes, the image just shows up again for a day. Then, gone again. This is weird.

    Hello!

I couldn’t find any issues with your live website or apparent causes for the concerns you’re facing.

Still, I wouldn’t trust every validation tool out there. Let’s keep it simple, and use only those who actually should read the metadata:

    1. Google’s Structured Data testing tools: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/appearance/structured-data.
    2. Google’s interpretation of your structured data: https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/structured-data.
    3. Facebook’s Open Graph debugger: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/.
    4. LinkedIn’s Post Inspector: https://www.linkedin.com/post-inspector/.
    5. Twitter’s Card validator: https://cards-dev.twitter.com/validator (this one isn’t that reliable).

If anything, share the URLs of your pages you want to test to the platforms because then you know how they truly interpret your website. Please note that sharing platforms keep a cached copy of the shared URLs (so your website won’t be bombarded if a share goes viral); it might take time before your changes are reflected upon those websites.

Don’t forget to clear your website’s caches after making global setting changes.

I hope this helps and that this reply gets through the spam filter quickly with so many links attached. Cheers!

Thanks for the great reply. I have tested it at those locations as well. Cleared cached, purged records. Something is off. Some times it works, then when I post something to facebook it fails and shows no image, and then of course all the other posts show no image either. Then all of a sudden it starts to work again.

When I tested it at google it came back and said that the file format had problems. I am not sure what that means. It’s a .jpg, proper size, proper value, all good.

    Thanks for any help.
