    Hello @duhlina

I am sorry about the error. Can you let me know what you were trying to achieve before you got the error? Can also check that your site meets the plugin requirements?

    Thread Starter duhlina

    (@duhlina)

I was not trying to achieve anything. It just appeared when I looked at the site health about two weeks ago. I just remembered that I can post a question here. It looks like this may be a global issue that not many are seeing because I installed the Yoast on a test site and it does the same thing. Plugin requirements are not the issue. This plugin has been in use on my site for about two and a half years.
    Thank you!

    Hey @duhlina,

    Thank you for your reply.

It’s a bit odd to see that you encountered that error on your site. Is that specific site running a paid addon from ours? As there is no site health check to connect to My Yoast when you would only have Yoast SEO free on your site. If you have one running, please check if you have added your site through our customer portal to activate it.

Keep in mind that for Premium addons or Yoast SEO Premium, support can’t be given here, if you have purchased from us, please reach out directly.

There is no paid add-on. The site was running exactly as it is for 2-1/2 years and this suddenly appeared and continues…

I am sorry that the issue persists. Can you please delete and then re-install a fresh copy of the plugin? Does the error re-occur?

    (@duhlina)

Well now, that is interesting. I uninstalled it and no errors. I reinstalled it and it is messing with my Jetpack. How is that possible?

I face exactly the same issue…in exactly the same situation…having FREE yoast seo plugin running at my site with no problems for a year now, but since last week get this error (exactly the same one!…GET https://my.yoast.com/api/sites/current 404 Not Found) when in Site Health Check tool. Don’t know how to solve…

@duhlina and @petrospapathomas so sorry to hear that you guys see the error on the WordPress Site Health page, and we’d like to investigate the issue further with your help.

So, can you please share the following information with us to deep dive into this further?

    • Can you please share a screenshot of the relevant error from the WordPress Site Health page so we can look at it properly? How to include screenshots or videos?
    • What version of WordPress you are currently running on your site?
    • What version of Yoast SEO you are currently running on your site?
    • Did you or do you currently running any premium add-ons by Yoast? If so, which ones and what version?
    • What theme are you currently running on your site and what’s the version number of it?
    • Does the issue occur when disabling all the plugins and switching to the default theme? You may want to use the Health Check plugin to test this without interfering your site visibility to visitors

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Actually, based on Query Monitor, I get two errors of cUrl error 28 type in Health check tool…the one from Yoast as described above and the other one as stated bellow:

    Method GET
    URL:
    https://blumare.gr/wp-json/wp/v2/types/post
    ?context=edit

    Status:

        do_action('admin_enqueue_scripts')
        wp-includes/plugin.php:476

    Component: WordPress core

In my site i run following components:
    – WordPress v.6.0
    – Yoast SEO v.19.1 with No premium Add-ons
    – Theme OceanWP v.3.3.3
    – TranslatePress (Free Version) v.2.2.9

After investigating further seems that When I just deactivate TranslatePress Plugin then the error from Yoast plugin dissapears too!
If activate TranslatePress again then both errors come again.
The situation is something like this:
If TranslatePress active And Yoast SEO active –> then Both errors
If TranlatePress not active And Yoast SEO active –> then No errors at all
If TranslatePress active And Yoast SEO not active –> then Only second error as described above

Seems like the error comes from TranslatePress, or there is also a possible conflict with Yoast SEO?

Thank you everyone for sharing all the relevant information that I have requested. I was able to reproduce the issue and open a bug report internally. Additionally, I will set it a high priority to ensure it gets fixed soon.

In the meantime, everything should be fine on your website as it doesn’t impact anything, but an unnecessary HTTP GET request to MyYoast.

    Thanks for your understanding!
