SEO on integrated WP Blog?

Hey folks,

My boss has put me on the task of adding a WordPress blog to my company’s existing website. I know how to do it and get it all styled and everything, I’m only posting to get some SEO questions answered.

First, I’ve used the All in One SEO Pack (AiOSEO) before, but I don’t know if that will work with an integrated WP blog or not. Any other tips/opinions/hints are greatly appreciated here.

Second, I don’t know yet if I will be handling the new sitemap or not, but if I do: will a simple sitemap plugin help here or could anyone give me some suggestions?

This isn’t a rushed project since the PMs haven’t figured out what all is wanted/needed, so I’m going to take my time and really get this integration smoothed out.
