SEO Opening Page

  • I was wondering for search engine opimization …….. is it better to have a static entry page and my own meta tags and welcome message about my site on this page and my blog in a directory rather than my blog being my index?

  • Search engines don’t really care about your meta tags. Content rules! – that’s what all the gurus say.
    Actually you can add your meta tags even to WP, if you want.
    Splash pages… are not so “cool” even for SE. Not to mention your visitors.
    And WP is much more SE friendly than you think!
