• Hi,

Doing SEO checks i found that the “site description line” and “menu” was mistakenly tagged as H2 and H1 respectively, and thereby messing up the SEO performance.

Can you change it in future themes so i can keep using your nice theme?

    thanks!

Why do you think it was mistakenly marked up as so?

    Hi Andrew.

Because the title “tagline” would be wrong to be marked as an H2 at every page and because it would be wrong to tag the menu as a H1 named “menu”. When optimizing for SEO you do not want to have multiple H1’s on each site. Especially if they are named “menu” ??

The Spacious theme was created in HTML5. In HTML5 it is normal to have multiple level 1 headings to describe different sections of the page.

And Google has allowed multiple H1s for a long time now
