A few days ago I noticed that the SEO Score of my posts changed to orange. Before they were all in green or green and some in orange. Here is an image:

When entering the articles, they do appear in green without any problem. Why does this happen?

    Hi @juanwp22,

Thanks for using Yoast SEO plugin and reaching out to us. We understand that you are noticing orange traffic light within the overview screen and green traffic lights when you open the posts. We can see how this might give you pause. We are happy to take a look! Let’s see what is going on.

The Yoast SEO plugin analyzes the content in your browser while you are on the edit page screen. This means that while editing a post/page, your browser performs the analysis “live” as you add content, make modifications, etc.?This is the score that’s displayed in your editor.

Once you publish or save a post, this score is saved to the database. The scores saved in the database are the ones that are displayed in the post overview screen (under the score columns). So can you please try to click on the Update button when editing the page to check whether the score gets updated on the overview screen or not?

Also, can you confirm that you have run the SEO data optimization in?WordPress dashboard > Yoast SEO > Tools? If it’s not yet completed, we recommend you to complete it.

Kindly please let us know the results.

When running the optimization in “tools” it never finishes. I have approximately 600 posts. If I check post by post it does update.

I think it’s a bug because it started to happen after the last Yoast update on all my sites.

Thanks for the screenshot, @juanwp22. To troubleshoot further, while you’re on the SEO Data Optimization screen, can you please check if there are Javascript errors on your browser’s console? You may follow the steps here – https://yoast.com/help/how-to-find-javascript-errors-with-your-browsers-console/

This is what I see in Firefox.

It happens on my sites since the last update.

There are no JS errors in your screenshots. Please try the following and if the SEO data optimization doesn’t complete afterwards, check for the JS console errors again:

    1. Install & activate the Yoast Test Helper plugin
    2. Go to Tools > Yoast Test
    3. Locate the Yoast SEO section and click on the ‘Reset indexables tables & migrations‘, ‘Reset Prominent words calculation‘, and ‘Reset Internal link counter‘ buttons. After each click, the page will reload to confirm that the specific reset was successful.
    4. Go to SEO > Tools, and under SEO data, click the “Start SEO data optimization” button to allow Yoast to rescan your content.

    Does this affect my SEO?

No, not at all. It’s basically a process to sync your SEO data and what’s stored in the WordPress database tables.

Thank you I will try tomorrow morning.

Perfect. Now it worked, did this change any of the settings I had already applied?

Not at all, your settings are intact.

This thread was marked resolved as the original poster confirmed the issue no longer occurs on their site.
