Hi, the plugin is working great, it’s a ‘how to use? question

I’m putting an UberMenu into a WP real estate site. The existing menu has a “Browse By” that has two levels of menu below it. Some of the first level items are not selectable, they just open into the second level. “Browse By” is not visible in Appearance => Menu as it is added by .js, so the theme developer told us.
To get what I want in the menu I am creating blank pages.
Most of them I am 301 redirecting via SEO by Yoast to the output page for the given selection. In the first level pages that were not originally selectable I am ticking ‘no link’ in the Ubermenu dropdown. Unfortunately the mouse pointer still behaves like there’s a link there but the visitor is not taken to a blank page.
My Question How should I be configuring this in Yoast’s SEO Plugin for the two types of áges I have created?

    • those that redirect
    • those that dont

I don’t want to index blank pages, but I do want the search engines to continue to the 301’s and index them.
The pages that I have created just to make a menu entry, I guess that I want no index , no follow , and no archive.
Thanks in advance to anyone who answers.
    Tim

    ps.
There are over 30 items in this menu.
Should I be using the .htaccess for redirects or is it efficient to do it in WordPress ?
