SEO Thumbnail Conflict
-
Since installing this plugin I have noticed its interfering with share link thumbnails. I have disabled the plugin and all works fine now, please sort the issue out asap as I can no longer us it.
Social networks like Facebook take information from HTML header meta tag and i check the meta tag and it is correct
<!–Video Contest Meta –>
<meta property=”og:title” content=”HERCULEAN – Red Weather” />
<meta property=”og:type” content=”video” />
<meta property=”og:image” content=”https://img.youtube.com/vi/uRm2_7CX2r0/0.jpg” />
<meta property=”og:url” content=”https://thescottishunsignedbandslist.co.uk/the-sublist-official-video-chart/?contest=video-detail&video_id=4643″ />
<meta property=”og:description” content=”From The Falling Thunde EP out now: ” />
<meta property=”og:site_name” content=”Thescottishunsignedbandslist” />
<!–Video Contest Meta –>BUT
There is also another information set<script type=”application/ld+json”></script><meta name=”description” content=”You can only vote a video every 24hrs, any fowl play using VPNs & Proxy servers to increase votes will result on…” />
<meta property=”og:title” content=”The Sublist Official Scottish Video Chart — Thescottishunsignedbandslist” />
<meta property=”og:type” content=”article” />
<meta property=”og:description” content=”You can only vote a video every 24hrs, any fowl play using VPNs & Proxy servers to increase votes will result on…” />
<meta property=”og:url” content=”https://thescottishunsignedbandslist.co.uk/the-sublist-official-video-chart/” />
<meta property=”og:locale” content=”en_GB” />
<meta property=”og:site_name” content=”Thescottishunsignedbandslist” />
<meta property=”twitter:card” content=”summary” />
<meta property=”twitter:title” content=”The Sublist Official Scottish Video Chart — Thescottishunsignedbandslist” />
<meta property=”twitter:description” content=”You can only vote a video every 24hrs, any fowl play using VPNs & Proxy servers to increase votes will result on…” />
<meta property=”article:published_time” content=”2018-04-09UTC21:33:32″ />
<meta property=”article:modified_time” content=”2018-05-06UTC20:22:40″ />
<meta property=”article:section” content=”https://thescottishunsignedbandslist.co.uk/author/thesublist/” />
<meta property=”article:publisher” content=”https://www.facebook.com/thesublist.scotland.3″ />So the problem is obvious. seo creates another set of information and Facebook picks the wrong one.
