    Hello,
I am trying to make Yoast SEO v.20.8 work correctly on a website running WordPress v.6.2.2 and PHP v8.1.
The website has custom taxonomy called “event” that allow the creation of children elements (i.e. a main even can contain various subevents).
The SEO title pattern set in Yoast for this taxonomy is: {term’s title} {separator} (terms hierarchy} {separator} {site title}.
    However:
    – On parent events, it works as expected
    – On children events, only the 2 first letters are displayed as SEO title.
I’ve tried to change the pattern to a different variable, or even to plain text, but I have always the same issues for children events: only 2 letters are displayed as page title. The only exception is if the first text string contains a colon sign – then no title is displayed at all.
    Could this be a bug?

Hmm I eventually found out that it was due to a custom filter hooked to wpseo_title and which was messing up things, probably due to some settings changed in Yoast.
