    Hi everyone,

After updating my site a few weeks ago, it seems that both search engines and social media still see my original (temporary) description of “Under Construction” still in the result. First, info of my site:

    URL: https://www.bamfsound.com
    Theme: Gleam by Elegant Themes
    SEO Plugin: Yoast SEO
What it looks like on Google Search: https://i.imgur.com/2YsCVxQ.jpg
What it looks like on FB: https://i.imgur.com/f8s0SSF.jpg
What it look like on G+: https://i.imgur.com/NblsHU9.jpg

From what I’ve read, my theme seems to start at a “static” frontpage than a certain page or post, so I thought it was the theme’s SEO integration issues. But I’ve updated the Site Description all fronts – on the WordPress Settings General, Theme SEO metadata settings, Yoast SEO – with no luck.

What am I missing? After diving around several forums, I’m stumped. Thanks!

  • Are you using Google Webmaster Tools for help with these issues? This may be helpful:

Type the following in Google search:
    site:https://www.bamfsound.com

You will find some under construction links, but they are from Google’s cache and they will go away after some time. You may use your Google Webmaster Tools account to find out indexing and other problems with your site.

Thank you Krishna, I guess I’ll wait for the cache to refresh itself. I linked it to my Webmaster account and will dig through those tools too.

Is this the same reason why this happens on social networks though? For example, where does FB pull its title, picture, and snippet from?
