    I use the free SEO YOAST version and I don’t see any such redirection 301 in htaccess on the server for bellow post. Where does it sit then and how to remove it?

  • Hi @dgpl,

    Yoast SEO has a setting to redirect attachment pages to the actual attachment. You can find it under SEO -> Search Appearance -> Media -> ‘Media & attachment URLs’.

    The reason Yoast SEO does this is because those attachment pages are usually so-called thin content; pages with hardly any written content. And they’re not helpful for the SEO of your website.

    Does that solve the mystery for you?

    How can I remove this redirect 301? I would like to show website address not .jpg file.
    In path which you point I have YES selected.

    You can select NO from the Yoast SEO → Search Appearance → Media (attachment) tab and that shall remove the relevant redirect for you.
