It seems that SEOPress has a bug, that needs to be taken care of.
Meat Titles and Meta descriptions in Product Categories doesn’t work.
You can write a new text, but when you press update, the text disappears again.

In all other fields (pages, products, post categories and so on) everything is working fine.
The problem is ONLY in Product Categories.

    I have tried the following:
Deactivated all plugins, apart from Woocommerce and SEOPress – Same problem.
Installed a clean WordPress with only Woocommerce and SEOPress – Same problem.
Uninstalled SEOPress and installed Yoast instead – Now it’s working !!

I think it’s fair to say, that SEOPress has a bug, regarding Product categories.

I use SEOPress in commercial Woocommerce sites, so this is really critical !!

    Hi,
    thank you for your feedback.
    Working on it.

In SEO > Titles and metas > Taxonomy, make sure you have something in the template fields for product category.

    Eg:

    Title:
    %%term_title%% %%sitetitle%%

    Meta desc:
    %%term_description%%

Save changes and clear your cache if you have one.

I can’t get the Meta title to work as well.
I can write the text, and it shows in the preview. But when I press “update” the text disappears again, in the preview and on the site.
The text though, is still visible in the edit window – but doesn′t show.
I have some screenshot showing this, but that’s not possible here in the WP forum, is it ?

You have probably an error in your browser console (F12, console tab).
To share images, host them somewhere else and share your links here.

    Thanks

The console os showing no errors, either in the front or admin.
Have tried in both Chrome and Safari, and the problem is the same.
I’m a Mac user – Could it be a problem related to Mac ?

    That’s it !! ??
I overlooked your second response in the beginning, with filling in some auto in the meta fields.

    Now it’s working.

Would it be possible to have auto-content filled in as default, the same way as pages, categories, and so on ? I Actually didn’t know that some auto content was mandatory, for it to work at all…

When you activate SEOPress for the first time we automatically generate the global templates for title/meta desc for every post types and taxonomies.

But if you add some other post types/taxonomies, you will get empty templates.

I’m not sure if I can do something about that, but it’s definitely in the todo list.
