Separate MySQL

    Does WP run better, faster with a dedicated MySQL server? I was not able not find anything in the docs.

    That depends of your server(s) I think. One fast server is better then two slow servers. But normally you need a dedicated MySQL for very heavy websites. I would take a more powerful server (VPS).
