Separator parameter

Thanks for the plugin, it’s very useful. I would like to use the separator parameter, but I can’t get it to work. This code works:

[categories orderby=count, style=none, show_count=1, child_of=6]

But if I add the separator paramater, like so:

[categories orderby=count, style=none, show_count=1, child_of=6, separator=', ']

this returns the message ‘No categories’. Can you help?
