Seperate Domain Multisite

    Everything is set up and working correctly. The only issue I am having is to do with using separate domains. I am not sure if this was the intended function of multisite, but I want to map separate domains.

    Currently I have a domain set-up with multisite:
    banana.com

    I used directory installation, so my sites would be:
    banana.com/apple
    banana.com/orange
    banana.com/peach

    and they seem to be working like that. So, I want to use a completely separate domain, orange.com to point to banana.com/orange – so I go through the domain mapping and everything; however, when I go to orange.com it redirects to banana.com/orange instead of just orange.com.

    Hopefully my analogy helps in this regard. Is there something wrong, is there a .htaccess tweak I can use to fix this? Or maybe I am doing something wrong?
