Serious errors after updating to 6.3

  • I am not recommending this plugin though I used it without major problems for 5 months now. After the recent update and overhaul of the “hide backend” feature the website is not working reliably anymore.

    All visitors get random errors, mostly the 324 “err_empty_response”, sometimes “socket_error”.

    While the “500 chrome error” in the previous version affected only users with access to the backend this affects all visitors, no matter the browser.

    I’ve ran into this recently as well. Same situation, upgrading to 6.3 with the hidden backend feature enabled. I’m guessing something happens to the .htaccess file, as renaming or removing the plugin directory doesn’t appear to fix the issue.
