    Hello,
I just tried to set up a feed for a podcast, using Seriously Simple Podcasting. I created a Series, and an entry for the first Episode. When I preview the episode page, I see what it looks like, and I was hoping I could have a link to the page for this and any upcoming episodes, in the bar where I currently have just the Home and About Me pages listed. I thought it might have appeared as Podcast, automatically, after using the plug-in, but nothing is present.

Is there a way to make this happen, just linking to the /podcast page, on the home page, where it would show all of the episodes, with descriptions and embedded players, etc.? Also, I am using the Twenty Ten theme. Thanks, so much, in advance, for any help resolving this.

    Hi Zach,

I’m the author of Seriously Simple Podcasting, so happy to help out here.

All you need to do is add a custom link to your menu. Here’s a handy guide explaining how to do this: https://easywpguide.com/wordpress-manual/appearance/updating-the-menu/adding-a-custom-link-menu-item/

All you need to do is set the custom link URL to your podcast page (e.g. https://www.example.com/podcast) and that should do the trick.

    Hope that helps!

    Cheers,
    Hugh

    Hello again,
I am just coming back to this, to attempt to finally implement it, after having this page open for some time, and getting distracted, and I seem to be having a bit of an issue. I was verifying the URL for my podcast page, and when I went there, there is a post, but it just has the basic title, description, and tags for the episode that I have posted, as of now. I don’t see a player or the attached art to go with it.

Additionally, I see that if I click the title name, it opens up basically the same page, but with the player and the art, although the art is not squared, as I created it, for display in iTunes, but stretched to fill the space of the banner, as displayed on my home page. I have seen other people’s podcast hosting sites, so I am attempting to replicate that basic style, but I am not having too much luck, so far. I hope this can be straightened out.

To better give you an idea of what I am talking about, my site is wallywackiman.com, the podcast page is wallywackiman.com/podcast, and the page for the first episode is https://wallywackiman.com/podcast/episode-1-introduction/ . What I am hoping for is that the /podcast page would display everything, for each consecutive episode I put out, with the most recent one being at the top, and that the individual episode pages display things properly. I appreciate any assistance that anyone might be able to offer.
