I feel like I am missing something basic – I want to have a podcast feed file created. Have filled out all the options under Sermons, Settings, Podcast Settings. I have about 4 sermons loaded already, and have uploaded a 5th after I set up podcast settings. I have created the /feed/podcast folder at the location shown in the Settings page. Now what ?!?! Am I supposed to see a file being generated there? I dont see anything. When I use the “Feed Validator” it tells me “It looks like this is a web page, not a feed. I looked for a feed associated with this page, but couldn’t find one. Please enter the address of your feed to validate.

    thanks for any help!

  • I think the only thing you’re missing is the correct url for the podcast.

If I remember correctly (big “if”), there is a settings page that has a bunch of stuff on it. Near the bottom is the location of the podcast. I did not create it. Sermon Manager created the directory for me – I didn’t create one on my own. I couldn’t get the podcast url I created myself to work. When I switched to the url on the settings page it found my feed.

BUT Feedvalidator told me it was invalid. I started hunting for it with my ftp program to see if I could manually edit the podcast file. Nothing could be found. Not even the directory. Our feed validated when I filled out all of the different fields for the sermons (date, title, description ….)

    Good luck!!

thanks UC-Glenn for the response. Do you know when the actual feed file was created for the first time? When you updated the Settings page? Or when you uploaded a sermon?

I am having the same issue. I have disabled all other plugins and it’s still not working.

I filled in every field on the settings page, uploaded three sermons, including a title, date, description, and MP3 file for each. I tried deactivating sermon manager and re-activating.

I continue to get the same error as irving.bos. Anyone have any ideas? What to try next?

Hi, I had actually CREATED the folder, but as UC-Glenn pointed out, that is not needed. After filling all the field in (even a image URL), it started working.

Paid for support and found out what I was missing. Jack was very helpful. Go to https://www.wpforchurch.com/ and purchase support if needed. $29 is not a lot to pay for what you get with this plugin. This thread should be marked as resolved.
