Sermon Not Displaying properly after 2.11 update

    Ever since the 2.11 update (or whichever came out about a month ago), the sermons on our site have not been displaying properly. The sermons used to show up in two columns, now it is only one column.
    Another thing I noticed is I only get 2 pages for any topic or speaker I click on. Some of the topics have over 50 sermons, but they only list page one and two cycle through to see the sermons, so all sermons cannot be displyed.
    I have updated to the most current version of this plugin but it still does the same thing.

    Could you please do the following:

    1. Deactivate and remove existing Sermon Manager (no data will be lost)
    2. Download and install the development version

    The pagination should work on development version.

    Regarding styling, Sermon Manager never had two column layout (as far as I know), so that was probably the result of some custom CSS that needs to be updated.

    This helped with the paging issue, but now the pictures of the preachers do not show up next to the sermon, the entire look of the sermon display is still not the same. IS there any way I can revert to a version previous to 2.11?

    Could you please download the latest development version?
    We have re-added the preacher images.

    If you still wish to revert to previous Sermon Manager version, you can do so on this page here. (you don’t have to go further than 2.11.3, since new layouts have been added in 2.12.0)

    We hope that you will stay on latest Sermon Manager, since we are constantly improving it and fixing small issues (including security issues!). ??

    OK I got it to display properly reverting back to 2.10 (One column anyway I’ll dig through my CSS and look at why it’s not two columns)
    However paging does not show up. I have one topic bible questions with 51 sermons but it only shows 10 and no links for paging. Is there a way to resolve this?

    Hi,

    Pagination issue has been fixed in the latest Sermon Manager (with preacher image), and we can not fix it in older versions.

    If you decide to use Sermon Manager 2.10, you will also miss out from all fixes made after it (and there are dozen of them, as seen in changelog).

    Yeah but my sermon layout is completely different, makes my site much more difficult to navigate. Now I have to spend time fixing this that I hadn’t planned on.
    I paid someone to create this layout for me a couple years ago.
    Pretty unhappy right now.

    We are very sorry to hear that.

    It seems like you are using a shortcode ([sermons]) to display the sermons, and shortcode output customization was not natively possible until couple months ago, when we added that functionality.

    So the only way someone could have modified is by changing plugin files (but all changes would be lost on plugin update).
    But, they could have modified archive page output, and/or single sermon output.

    Can you please check if the custom layout files are added to the theme root directory? (/wp-content/themes/<theme_name>/)
    Specifically, some of the following:

    • archive-wpfc_sermon.php
    • single-wpfc_sermon.php
