The option has introduced in the latest version 1.7.3. Please see ‘Reduce avatars size’ checkbox which enabled by default in the ‘Google Reviews Widget’.

Yes, but this image is a company photo and you can change it manually, in the widget.

We didn’t touch it, because Google returns not square picture and if it’s resize, it looks not good in square circle.
