Server error. Upload directory isn’t writable.

    Hello,
    I am trying to upload images from activity but I am getting this popup msg
    “Server error. Upload directory isn’t writable.”

    The uploading from WP media library though works fine.

    WP Version 5.8.1
    BuddyPress Activity Plus Version 1.0.7
    BuddyPress Version 9.1.1

    Hey billysgtr!

    I also had the same issue for quite a while and just found the fix. Check to see if you have only one of the Activity Plus plugins installed.

    You can check the BuddyDev page but this is the one you should have:

    A few versions back ago they abandoned the “BuddyPress Activity Plus”. There is a conflict between the two that resulted in giving essentially a false permissions issue even though on the server-side the correct permissions were set.
