    Hello all,
This is my first time using wordpress.
I have had a problem with wordpress since i began using it.

Here is my new WP website https://www.mltraduction.com

    My problem is this…
I cannot connect to my website.
I receive the following error message:
    server not found
    I have already tried…
    – clearing cache memory etc on browser,
    – using other browsers
    – using other comnputers
as per various suggestions in other wp topics/forums.

I am also unable to access my mltraduction/wp-admin dashboard page.

I use cyberduck as my ftp software.
I can no longer access the files of my site through this either,
(in other threads i have seen people resolving this problem of none access by renaming themes etc etc through ftp…i cannot even access the files on there so ??)

I am also unable to access my e-mail account linked to the site
    @mltraduction.com.

    info regarding my wp site:
    – name is https://www.mltraduction.com
    – I have a wordpress site which i am trying to make bilingual using the polylang plugin (in english and french)
    – I have changed the theme several times

If anyone could help me regain access to the wp-admin dashboard so i can make the modifications to my site, i would be more than grateful.

    Thankyou in advance.

  • I have just checked your DNS info and it looks like it could be a suspended domain. Have you spoken to your domain registrar about the problem?

Here is a link to check your DNS info

    https://viewdns.info/dnsreport/?domain=www.mltraduction.com

Just to add to what I said before the name servers definitely seem odd and I would look into that issue. These are the recorded name servers

    ns2.verification-hold.suspended-domain.com.
    ns1.verification-hold.suspended-domain.com.

Firstly, thankyou very much for your help with this matter, @Irdow.

This happened once before when I first installed wordpress 2 weeks ago, only the last time i was still able to access the ftp and my email account.

The domain provider/ host (?) was able to do another install of wordpress for me/ roll-back to a previous state and all was good again to begin recreating my site.

I am new to all of this so I do not really understand what the DNS info relates to that you have listed above.

I have being wondering however, if it may be something to do with another company having a very similar domain name to mine.
My company is mltraduction, there is another called ml-traductions
It maybe of no relevance but i pose the question all the same.

I had noticed after posting this topic earlier today that for one brief moment, I WAS able to access my site https://www.mltraduction.com, albeit for 5 seconds – and with just a tiny element of the web design visible (the top menu bar) …

    all very strange.

I appreciate your help, @Irdow, thanks so much.

DNS is basically how people are able to get to your server. If you click on that link earlier and look at the entries that have red crosses you will see that the name servers are incorrect and the reason why you cannot reach the site. Get hold of your hosting company and ask them what the correct name servers should be and if they could set them up correctly. When you get hold of you hosting company ask them why the name servers configured as

    ns2.verification-hold.suspended-domain.com.
    ns1.verification-hold.suspended-domain.com.

If you registered the domain elsewhere and not with your hosting company you will need to change the name server with the registrar.

I had checked out this link you sent me earlier,
I understand elements of it, those which appear logical to a non-website savvy like myself.

Thanks for your help, I will have to await a response from my domain host to see if it is any fault at ‘their end’

Again, I appreciate the help you have given me with this.

no worries. Hope you get your issue resolved.

OK, so after a lot of investigation and e-mail sending, i found out that the problem stems from the domain name being suspended by the .com registry.

The reason for which is because the verification email was sent to the WRONG address after the person who registered the site for me had misspelled my e-mail address.

I am now in the process of trying to get the registered e-mail address corrected.

A time-consuming lesson on the importance of correct spelling!
