Server overload while pulling optimized images

    After uploading images to my website the website starts running very slowly and I get errors 524 (timeout). I found that the cause is most likely an image pull cron job. When all images are pulled, the website stops working slowly.
    Previously, this problem did not occur. It is probably the fault of the latest update (3.6).

    Hi,

    I don’t think 3.6.x changed anything about image optimization work flow.

    Are you on shared hosting or your own server?

    please try check from top or htop if possible to see what is using CPU

    Are you on shared hosting or your own server?

    It is such a hybrid of shared hosting and the cloud.

    My hosting fixed the problem by moving the SQL server to a separate computing cluster.
