We have a dedicated server at SiteGround, which holds close to 300 separate WordPress sites. I love Easy Updates Manager, and it is installed and active on every one of those sites. We use UptimeRobot to monitor our sites, and recently we’ve seen something weird – many of our sites go down for 5 minutes or so, all at the same time, in the middle of the night. Server logs show no actual downtime, but they *do* show a sudden uptick in resource usage at that time, which causes the server to kill some PHP processes in order to avoid crashing. 10-15 minutes later, the problem disappears. We’ve been trying a million things to nail down the source of the problem, without success.

So… here’s my weird, and probably uninformed, question. Is it possible that Easy Updates Manager is firing on all of our sites at the same time, thereby maxing out available RAM and causing this problem? And how might I confirm this is/is not the case?

(I’ve seen other commenters asking for a viewable log of EUM activity, and I agree – that would be super helpful to me right now.)
