I often get some error “server sending parameter” in event add to cart, view content, view category, search and I have also read some support. And the support is explained to try the steps below :

    1) – Click ignore on the Facebook side temporarily, to stop getting this warning, more over if you don’t run paid ads, as we’re working to narrow down what might have caused this

    2) – Clear caching and transient data by going to WP Admin > WooCommerce > Status > Tools > WooCommerce transients > Click – Clear Transients (Button on right)

    3) – Force full sync all your products manually by going to Marketing > Facebook > Product sync, click Sync Product

The question is, is this method safe on paid ads?

    Thankyou in advance.

    best regards,
    Rian R

  • Hi @rianrismawati09,

Sorry for the delay on this request.

The question is, is this method safe on paid ads?

Do you mean if the Facebook for WooCommerce is safe to use with paid ads? If that is the question, yes, the Facebook for WooCommerce is an official and popular extension used by merchants with paid ads.

For the Error message you are getting.

    Server Sending Invalid Key Parameter

Thanks for reaching out to us! We’ve had a few merchants mention this issue so far, and we have raised a support request with the Facebook team that is still ongoing.

The initial response from the Facebook team has been that this error should not occur that often. They think it could be related to customers using ad-blockers. They advise that you can clear the issue by clicking the Resolve button in the Events Manager and see if it error continues to appear going forward.

We’ve asked the Facebook team if we can see some logging from their side to try and troubleshoot our plugin further, but due to privacy concerns, it’s not possible for them to share this information with us.

As such, if you’d like to raise this further, I recommend reaching out to the Facebook team directly at: https://www.facebook.com/help/contact/552096935652452

Please make sure to include your Pixel ID, a screenshot of the error, and mention that the Facebook for WooCommerce plugin uses the Server to Server API for recording these events.

To summarize, the issue need to be fixed on the Facebook side.

    I hope this helps.

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – we’ll be here if and/or when you are ready to continue.
