    Hello there,

Since a week, on my facebook business manager a n erro is appearing on pixel events : “Server Sending Invalid Match Key Parameters for ViewContent Event”

Last week, there was the same issue with addtocart event but it has resolved by itself.

View Content is still sending error. What can I do ?

My plugin is up to date, woocommerce too.

Thanks in advance for your help !!

  • Hi Leslie – @lilweya,

Thanks so much for raising a new topic and sharing this information. We’ve had a few merchants raise this issue to us previously, and we’re waiting on Facebook to let us know what could be the cause.

From other merchants’ investigation, we were not able to find any issue with the events that were being recorded, so I won’t ask you to repeat the same process! As soon as we hear more from Facebook, I’ll be sure to let you know.

Thanks for your patience while we work with Facebook to look into this issue further!

In the meantime, would it be possible to please get a screenshot of this error in your event manager?

    Thanks,
    Benjamin

    Hi @liliweya,

Thank you so much for providing those screenshots! That gives us very specific information to work with, so it’s quite helpful ??

Again, I appreciate your patience here while we work with Facebook on this issue!

I’ll post an update here once I have more information for you.

    Cheers,
    Benjamin

Still no news about this issue ??

I have updated the plugin, but the error is still going on…

    Hi @liliweya,

I’m afraid I still don’t have a clear solution for you yet but I can assure you we are working with Facebook on this!

Just to check, as there have been a few updates to the plugin since we last spoke, are you currently running v2.0.3? If not, could you please make sure you’re updated to Version 2.0.3 and try again?

    Cheers,
    Benjamin

    Hi @liliweya,

Thank you for your patience! We’ve heard back from the Facebook team on this issue. They’ve said that they’re looking into providing more information for this error in a future release, such as showing the affected URL and the parameter/what is wrong with it. Though they did also mention that even with some additional details, we would not be able to solve the problem, as it can be at the platform level. I hope the additional information would let us try and workaround it though!

They weren’t able to pass along an expected date for release, though did mention that they usually see some features/improvements added after the holidays.

It seems that at this moment, we’ll need to wait for this release before looking at the Invalid Match Content parameter further.

    Cheers,
    Benjamin

    Hi,

Thank you for this support forum. I have the same issue, is there an update on the solution?

    Best Regards,
    Eduardo

    Hi @eduardoceruelo,

I’m sorry that you’re running into the same issue! I’m afraid that we don’t yet have an update, though we are still working with the Facebook team on this.

If there is anything else that we can help with, could you please open up a new thread per WordPress forum guidelines? This will help us keep things organized and provide more individualized support. We’ll be happy to help with any further issues from there. ??

    Thanks,

    Jennifer
