Server side tracking set up for all but purchase event

    Hi there,

    I am trying to fix the tracking of our client website. I can see in Facebook ads console that both browser and server tracking were installed but for some reason the purchase event is only tracked by the browser.

    I see in their Woocommerce dashboard that they also have a WordPress facebook pluging activated, might this be the issue?

    I just ticked the “Log plugin events for debugging.” checkbox.

    How can I do to make sure purchases are being tracked by capi as well?

    The problem very much could be caused by having two instances of pixel. You can use the following Chrome extension to help troubleshoot:

    I removed the wordpress facebook channel from the plugins on woocommerce and from the facebook ads console.

    I tested the server tracking from facebook and it seems to work properly. I see only one pixel with facebook helper.

    Looking at the pixel with Pixel helper, I only get a warning for page view which I think is expected. Add to cart and checkout work properly. I cannot go all the way to the purchase for now but I would say the pixel in general seems well implemented.

    How can I troubleshoot further than this? Should I uninstall and reinstall the plugin perhaps? it is strange as all other events show they have the server tracking as well as the browser.

    You could try disconnecting and reconnecting Facebook from within the WP Admin admin under Marketing > Facebook. All data synced previously will be retained within the database and any outdated connection information will be updated.
