Hey @teresacuervo
This unfortunately did not resolve the issue. Here is what I performed:
PART ONE:
Killed the existing scan while it is still running (The “Start New Scan” button turns in to a “Stop” button while the scan is running)
Went to your Scan > Scan Options and Scheduling page and expand the “Performance Options” section
Set “Maximum execution time for each scan stage” to 20 on the options page
Where it says “Time limit that a scan can run in seconds” enter 21600
Click to “Save Changes”
Go to the Tools > Diagnostics page
In the “Debugging Options” section check the circle “Enable debugging mode”
Click to “Save Changes”.
Start a new scan.
I DID NOT PERFORM THIS YET: Copy the last 20 lines from the Log (click the “Show Log” link) or so of the activity log and paste them here these were instructions requested on these Wordfence Forums by Tech Support that I copied. So I have to post as a new topic.

PART 2
It didnt work.
I cleared my computer cache, then cache on all websites.
I contacted my web host to clear residual data in the directory
I deleted all Wordfence plugins from all my websites, then added the Wordfence Assistant plugin to sites to remove all residual Wordfence data, and performed cleaning operations.
I reinstalled Wordfence in websites, and Im getting the same problem. SERVER STATE ERROR.
I am now using this plugin, to attempt to remove this malware.
If this does not work, I’ll contact Wordfence on these Support boards in hopes they can help. Again, I DID NOT PERFORM THIS YET: Copy the last 20 lines from the Log (click the “Show Log” link) or so of the activity log and paste them here
