The API which allows users to connect to their social account and to fetch tweet data is currently down.

The server ran into problems yesterday and I decided to move forward a plan to separate the website and API, originally it was a test of concept and had not been structured ideally. Unfortunately, I was not entirely ready for the move and have run into some issues, which has caused a significant disruption to the service.

I am working hard to get the API fully working again as soon as possible and I will do my best to ensure that I do not get myself stuck in this same situation again.

I am very sorry for the frustration this has/is causing anyone.

    Regards,

    Peter Booker

It allows me to connect, the forward works just fine.

I’ve also tried revoking access to the application and granting again. No luck so far. No errors displayed in the error lists.

Interesting. It could be that something bad/unexpected is stuck in the transient the plugin uses, making it not refresh. Would you mind trying to uninstall/reinstall the plugin (it should delete the transient when you uninstall it).

I have been watching how the API responds in the logs and running tests on various test sites with different hosts, but I have not yet found any issues. I will continue looking into it.

Strange, still the same after a fresh installation of the plugin. I’ll try to debug the PHP later. I’ll keep you posted.

I would appreciate anything you can find. I have spent most of the day attempting to track and/or reproduce errors of any kind, but so far have not had any luck.

Hello, unfortunately kebo twitter feed still doesn’t work for me. I have the same problem with message “Sorry, no Tweets were found”.

    What I’ve tried:
    1. reinstalling the plugin
    2. revoking app access
    3. disconnecting and connecting twitter account
    4. connecting another twitter account and this worked for some reason.

I would be glad to hear any suggestions.

    Hi v.a.serbin,

Sorry to hear you are still having problems.

Just to confirm that you are able to switch to and display Tweets for a different Twitter account, but the original account always displays “Sorry, no Tweets were found”?

That is very interesting and may help me to identify what the problem is, I will have a look into it and see if I can work out why it would be behaving this way. Thank you very much for letting me know.

    Thank you for quick reply.

Yes, when I connect the “original” twitter account i see the message “Sorry, no Tweets were found”. Plugin works fine with new twitter account.

    Hi Vsevolod,

I have been attempting to reproduce this situation, but have not managed to yet. I have been running through the process the plugin goes through and I cannot see how/why it would get stuck like this. I am clearly missing something.

I will continue to attempt to reproduce this and fix it.

    Thanks, Peter.

Can I provide some extra information about this? Would it be helpful?

    Hi Peter,

Curious if there was any luck in finding the issue here. I hesitate to ask as I appreciate all the work you’re doing on this and can’t really offer any support, but I wanted to see if there was any update.

I would also happily provide any additional data you need to help find the cause / solution. Let us know!

    Hi guys,

Sorry for the slow response, and that you are all still having problems. It is very important to me that you can use the plugin with no issues. I have been trying hard to find a way to reproduce or work out how this situation could happen, with no luck.

You should never feel hesitant to post here, I will always want you all to be using the plugin with no problems at all.

If any of you are happy navigating your database, would you be able to find the options table and the row called “kebo_twitter_feed_1”, which contains the Tweet data and then mail it to me at: peter(at)kebopowered.com

This would really help me to understand what data it has managed to fetch and why it is showing the no tweets found message.

Hi Peter – same issue for me. All of a sudden I receive the message “Sorry, no tweets were found”.

    What I’ve tried:
    1. reinstalling the plugin
    2. revoking app access
    3. disconnecting and connecting twitter account
    4. connecting another twitter account

None of these things worked. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Kelly

    Hi kellywilson83,

Thank you for letting me know and I am sorry that you are having problems. Could you confirm that connecting another Twitter account also displayed the no tweets found message? As another user found that other accounts worked? This will help me when attempting to reproduce the behavior.

    kellywilson83

    (@kellywilson83)

Correct – connecting another twitter account also displayed the no tweets found message.
