Con: tracking integration (Google Analytics, Matomo) is a pain. Scheduling does not meet our buiness requirements:

We offer services with different duration. Bookly is not smart enough to fill / prevent gaps. If someone picks a 9:15 slot, we’re sitting idle the first 15 minutes. If someome books a 15 minute service half a hour after the previous (and most of services take 45 minutes or more), then we’re idle for 30 minutes. This means a significant loss of revenue for us.

The option to just show the next available slot without considering the customer’s availability doesn’t make sense because it would end the booking process for most customers (how likely is it that the customer is available at a specific random time?). Bookly product management doesn’t see any problem here… or doesn’t care too much about their (paid-) users need.

Also, be careful with add-ons: some of them are absolutely useless (like the waiting list: you can “soft book” one specific timeslot that is already taken. How likely is it that just this one will become free?)

This is related the pro-version, btw. I doubt that the free version can be use professionally due to its limitations. Pricing is for Pro is fair.

Hello, thanks for your feedback. Regarding the time slots length, please consider enabling the Time slot length > Slot length as service duration. This way time intervals will be divided according to the service duration and you avoid idle time.

Hallo, I know this feature of course. Doesn’t address my problem, though. Our services have different durations. From 15 minutes to multiple hours. The longer ones won’t fit into the schedule if the shorter ones are scattered randomly accross the day, causing lots of idle time.

I feel this is well understood by your product management (see Bookly ticket #170211), but they say this is exactly how they like their product to be. So this was for information of other potential customers so they can make an informed decision rather than a feedback.

This is what we are facing as well. It hurts our business hugely when there’s unbooked time in between the bookings.

At least maybe “Show only the nearest timeslot” could be day based to show only the first free slot of a day and not the whole calendar. This would do it for us.
