Set a static home page and have a blog page with posts

    Hi everyone!
    I have a question. Right now, my blog is set up so that when you go to the main URL (mydomain.com), it shows 10 most recent posts. Can I set it up so that I have a static home page with a welcome message or something on it and have another page called Blog with the 10 posts most recent on it? I saw the static page feature, but it did not have this option.

    I’m having the same trouble with the two home pages…..
    I’ve followed the instructions from this thread but have not been able to resolve this.
    I’ve tried finding the code listed above:
    ” Find the area in your theme that has..
    wp_list_pages()
    NOTE: Most likely header.php

    Copy and paste the code from about 4 lines above to about 4 lines below where you find wp_list_pages here (inside backticks – or use a pastebin / “

    When I search the header.php file I don’t find this information.
    Help???
